Hello and welcome to my world.
I will use this blog to communicate the goings on in little world. Our hope is that this written word will be used by our family and friends to keep tabs on us as we are going about our lives separated by the many miles.
I might post a story about a photo shoot that I went on or even some random thoughts that pop into my head. You might even see comments about news or world events. I have even posted spiritual thoughts and events as they relate to the Bible. I find this blog therapeutic at times. I even rant and rave about stuff. Anything could end up in here.

3 Day Weekend

The drive from Boise is about an 1 1/2 hours and well worth the drive.
Well its been a few weeks since I wrote, I did not realize it had been that long. Time flies when your having fun I guess. Shawn and I finished up the HCG diet, we did not get to do the 40 days as we would have liked since we ran out of the drops. Shawn lost 15 pounds while I lost 25 pounds…. WOOOWHOO. I have changed my diet to include a good sized breakfast and a pretty good lunch. …
A Fine Wednesday
Today was a good day! Work went well, I got to relax a bit when I got home. Dinner was good, the diet is going pretty well. Shawn and I decided to stay on the diet for 40 days. Im hoping to loose at least 30 pounds before all is said and done. We might even wait a few months and try it again. If it all goes according to plan, I will be right about where I was when we got married.

Boise Aquarium
I went on a photo shoot at the Boise Aquarium the other night with Rod & Coleen and few prople from the HP Photoclub. It was a fun time watching all the fish and trying to capture images of them while they are swiming around their tanks. I could swear there were some that did not want their picture taken. I got lucky and came home with a few shots. I would like to try it again sometime with a bigger aquarium and more types of fish.

Storms Coming
The snow is finally on its way! We are supposed to be getting our first big storm of winter tonight and tomorrow. They are calling for upwards of 5" of snow in the valley and upwards of several feet in the moutains. Boguas should open after this storm I would think.
Shawn is heading off to Austin for a buisness trip and to visit with her sister. We both started a diet on the 5th of January. …
Our Saviour is Born
Merry Christmas to all!
Shawn and I had a very wonderful Christmas. We opened up our stockings on Christmas Eve. They were filled with some wonderful gifts, from socks and gloves to warm jammies and books. On Christmas morning, we sat in front of the tree sipping some fine hot coffee and opened up a few gifts that we got each other. Road Trip to Bruneau Dunes
Rick and I took a drive out to Bruneau Dunes for another attempt to get some good shots of the surroundings It was a very chilly morning, there was snow in places and as you can see in the picture some frosty dunes. As I was lookin around for a shot, I noticed something odd down at the bottom of the dune I was standing on. I walked down the side to find a knite glove laying in the sand, it the the making of a scary movie. …

Its been a few weeks since i wrote due to my iMac's video card going out on me…..again. This will be the 4th video card to be put in it in 3 years. This time a put a lower end card in to reduce cost and who knows, maybe it will last longer. So far its working good, but it could last 10 days or a year, who knows. My Dad decided to spend some of my inheritance on me by buying me a new iMac. …
Happy 10th Anniversary
Shawn and I celebrated out 10th year wedding anniversary on Thursday the 17th. After work we headed over to the restaurant Cool Hand Lukes. Shawn ordered a couple appetizers as her meal, I was a lot more hungry than that, so I ordered a rib eye steak with a Idaho baker. That was the best rib eye steak I have ever eaten, the meat was so tender I didn't need a knife. …
Poison Gorge
Poison Gorge was the destination Rick had in mind for Saturdays photo shoot. Rick arrived at 8:30 in the morning, it was cold and windy. A storm had just dumped some snow on the hills and was exiting stage east. To the hills we are heading, in search of hoodoo's and faces amongst the rocks. As we got out of Kuna a little ways, we could see the Owyhees, they were snow covered, and were shining white with golden highlights, very pretty.

Card Night
It has been a rather busy week at work, I am glad its over. Its friday night, Shawn and I invited Allen & Debbie over for some cards. We usually play some baseball or Pinochle late into the evening. Its always fun to hang out with them, they are good peeps.
Rick and I are going shooting tomorrow out in the owyhee's, up towards Jump Creek. We are going to try and walk in that gorge we found last weekend. …
