My little slice of the web

Welcome to My World Blog

I use this blog to communicate the goings on in my world. My hope is that this written word will be used by our family and friends to keep tabs on us as we are going about our lives separated by the many miles. I might post a story about a photo shoot that I went on or even some random thoughts that pop into my head. You might even see comments about news or world events. I have even posted spiritual thoughts and events as they relate to the Bible. I find this blog therapeutic at times. I even rant and rave about stuff. Anything could end up in here.

Oklahoma only 8 hours away

Dad and I left Tucson and drove to Albuquerque for the night. We found a Days Inn to hold up for the night. I was having a hard time getting to sleep, knowing that we were to get up at 5am to head into Oklahoma City. I looked at the clock and it was 1:30 am, and I was not quite sleepy, but laid down and tried to get to sleep. I set the alarm for 5am. I woke up at 5:34, thinking I had overslept, so I hurried up and got dressed and packed my things.

I was surprised that my dad had not knocked on the door, so I took my things down to the car to get a head start, and came back up and knocked on dads door. He didn't answer, so I knocked a little louder. He finally answered the door, but he had just gotten out of bed and was asking my why I was waking him up so early. I looked at the clock in his room and my watch, and found out that it was only 10 minutes to 5. OOOPs the clock in my room was an hour off. LOL! Well dad just decide to get up and get ready earlier then planned.

Finally ready, we headed out the door to go find some breakfast before getting on the highway. We stopped at McDonald's, just up the road about 3 minutes from the Hotel, then hit the road.

We drove straight through to Oklahoma City and actually made some really good time, arriving at about 2pm. It was a pretty uneventful drive, other than the wind that was pushing the car all over the road.
